Playing Days

Visitors can play by prior arrangement on any weekday. Tuesday is Ladies Day and visitors should check with the professional to see if any starting times are available. No visitors are allowed at weekends unless playing with a member. Societies are welcome at Blackwell on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and occasionally on Tuesday afternoons.

Play On The Course

It is important that arrangements for play should be discussed and agreed with the Secretary or the Professional but generally two ball, three ball or four ball games are allowed. Play must be from the yellow tees. The tenth tee is reserved for members between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. and between 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. Slow play mars the enjoyment of the game for many players. Visitors are requested to maintain a reasonable pace and watch the pattern of play and they MUST give way if they are holding up the match following. PLEASE NOTE THAT MOBILE PHONES ARE NOT TO BE USED EITHER ON, OR IN THE VICINITY OF, THE COURSE AND THE CLUBHOUSE.

Green Fees

The present rate for a days golf at Blackwell is £70 for 18 holes and £80 for 27/36 holes. This sum is reduced for visiting Societies with playing numbers exceeding 25. Prices include VAT. A deposit of £20 per head is required before any booking can be considered firm. Please note that we do not take Credit Cards.

Dress

Jackets and ties must be worn in the Dining Room. Smart casual dress is allowed in the Mixed Lounge. Golfing attire (including shoes) may be worn in the Course Bar and Mixed Lounge. Jeans, T-shirts, trainers and other similar attire are not permitted. Shorts may be worn provided the player is wearing knee length socks. These are available from the Professional Shop.
